Daycare
A daycare is an extension of the home environment. At Al-Fajr School System we recognise each stage of development in each child and plan activities to meet their individual needs. Emphasis is placed on nurturing and facilitating growth in the following developmental domains:
Environment
Every effort has been placed to make the daycare's environment comfortable and fun. The educational programme consists of unit themes around which all classroom activities are planned. Themes are changed daily or monthly depending on the concept being taught. Much emphasis is placed on social development as well. Trained staff spends time with the children, individually and together, to help them express themselves constructively.
After School Programme
During an academic year the Daycare offers an after school programme. Children come to the daycare and have the opportunity to spend the afternoon in free play, planned learning activities, doing their homework, etc.
Evaluation
Progress evaluations of each infant, toddler and preschooler are conducted throughout the year. Reports are sent to parents biannually, recapping the child's development and learning.
Primary Years (Years - 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5)
Primary years offer's a rich co-curricular programme encompassing the following subjects: Literacy, Numeracy, Urdu, Islamiyat, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Art, Physical Education and International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
Lower Secondary (Years 6, 7 and 8)
Today's students live in a world that is fast paced, culturally diverse, technologically driven and media saturated. These changing paradigms require that we redefine education making it more flexible, challenging and creative. The Lower Secondary programme covers the unique period of early adolescence, marking the transition from Primary Years to IGCSEs and A levels.
Upper Secondary (Years 9 and 10)
The Upper Secondary curriculum covers a broad spectrum of subjects that are tailored to meet the international and local requirements and develop students' self-confidence while equipping them with an essential aptitude for lifelong learning. The academic environment on campus is purposeful, stimulating and challenging. Subject specialists are recruited and trained to deliver not only the academic content but help students grow as conscientious individuals.
A stimulating programme of studies through which students are inspired to achieve their greatest potential and adapt to a diverse and ever-changing society. A dedicated and professional faculty that will encourage students to love learning.
A caring and respectful environment within which each student feels valued and develops the understanding that diversity of gender, physical or mental ability, culture and background are strengths to be appreciated.
Character education so as to develop confident, resilient students equipped with the disposition to become personally fulfilled interdependent, socially responsible adults, good citizens and useful human beings and helpful members of any society.
